Lindsay Marie made Easter cupcakes for the preschool playdate and Mellissa requested the same ones for this order.

Happy Easter!
Happy Easter everyone! My friend Mellissa who ordered cookies for a preschool playdate last week put in an order for Easter as well. She wanted two dozen of Lindsay Marie's awesome vegan chocolate cupcakes and a dozen of my decorated sugar cookies. So here we go...I made Easter bunnies, eggs, and flowers...all bright and springlike!
Thanks Mellissa for another order! :)

Preschool Playdate/Jewelry Party
This was a really fun order for us! I love using bright colors and fun shapes when making cookies. I was asked by a friend recently if we would like to make some cookies and cupcakes for a preschool playdate. We of course said yes! I found out it was also a jewelry party so I threw in some cookies for the mommies as well - anyone knows that a mommy of a preschooler needs a margarita every now and then :) I unfortunately do not have picture of the cutie cupcakes that Lindsay Marie made but here are some pics of the cookies:
Thank you for the order Mellissa! I hope everyone enjoyed them! :)

50th Anniversary Cookies
A couple of weeks ago we celebrated a huge milestone in my family - my maternal grandparents 50th wedding anniversary. That is a long time to put up with someone! :) When I asked my mom what she wanted me to bring to the party she said she only wanted one thing which was cookies. That was my "Pappy's" request so of course I obliged. I had never done anniversary cookies so I did my best to come up with some good ideas. My Granny's wedding dress was all shades of blue so I used that in some of the designs. Everyone loved them!

New Home!
My husband and I recently bought a new home and this past week we finally sold our old house - what a relief! As a thank you gift to our realtor and a congratulations gift to the couple who bought our home I made these cookies. I think they turned out pretty cute! Our realtor absolutely loved them! These would be a great gift for a housewarming party or a new home gift!

Long Overdue Post! Christmas Cookie Order
This post is beyond overdue. I am actually embarrassed to just now be posting it but better late than never right? We have both been so busy the past couple of months with holidays, moving, vacations, etc. that I am just now getting to this. Excuses, excuses. :)

This was a cookie order that I did the week of Christmas for a friend of Lindsay Marie's mom. I absolutely love making Christmas cookies so this was a really fun one for me! This was an order for 4 dozen custom sugar cookies and I was given free range on what to do creatively as long as it was Christmas theme. I enjoyed this one so much! See pictures below.
We are looking forward to the new year and having a lot of orders to come! :)

Early Christmas Cookies for the Jingle Mart
Last week I was asked if I would be interested in making some cookies for the Christ the King school's annual Jingle Mart. I was thrilled to be asked! I had less than 48 hours to do it though once I was asked...I like a challenge! Really I just wanted to use my new snowflake cookie cutters I think. :) Below are some of the cookies that I created for the event - hope all went well with it!! Thanks again for asking me to do this!

Girly cookies!
Girly cookies = pink and purple and sparkles and sprinkles! I had a fun time making these cookies. Kristal was nice enough to do the photo shoot for Lindsay Marie and I in exchange for a batch of cookies and a batch of cupcakes. I think we got the good end of the deal there! Her pictures are phenomental! This week I finally had time to bake the cookies for her. She requested something for her daughters and the only request was something "girly" and pink. Done and done! I delivered them today and when I asked her daughter if she liked cookies she said, "I like pink cookies!" I am told that the cookies were enjoyed and that makes me very happy! Thanks again Kristal!

La Marie's Confections Launch Party!
First of all, I want to shout out a big THANK YOU to all of those who helped us get ready for the launch party and for those who attended. We had a great time getting ready for the party as well as actually having the party last Sunday. I don't think either of us have ever made that many cupcakes and cookies at one time but we had fun with it :)
We held the launch party in one of the great event rooms at the Newburgh library. We baked ~100 each of our different flavors of cupcakes and cookies that we will be offering as well as ~100 cupcakes and cookies for the centerpieces which were decorated and for looks only. Below are some pictures from the party. Again, thanks to all who came and who helped us out!

Another Halloween party order!
We ended up getting two orders on the same day for two different Halloween parties. We had a lot going on with baking for our launch party that weekend but we decided what the heck? We'll do them! In addition to the party for Mark's little boy, we did an order of two dozen cupcakes and two dozen cookies for Lindsay Marie's friend Brian. He was having a Halloween party and wanted some La Marie's goodies to be on display. I am told that everyone absolutely adored them! YAY!
Thanks Brian for your order and your support of La Marie's!!!

Our First Order!
We were beyond excited last week to receive our first paid order! It was from someone that we know through work who wanted a dozen cupcakes and a dozen sugar cookies for his 8 year old son's Halloween party. His only request? He wanted something spooky. Spooky and decorating cupcakes and cookies for kids...hm. We gave it our best effort and we are told that the kids and the adults both loved the goodies! I don't have a picture of the cupcakes but they were awesome! Mummies, scary green monsters, and ones with bloody fingers coming out of them - ew! :) Thank you to Mark for our first paid order! Shall we frame the money??
Here are the cookies that I made - tied up with "bloody" guaze with spiders - spooky enough??

Cookies for Miss Avery
It seems like all of my friends are having babies right now! My good friends Kat and Dave recently had a gorgeous little girl - Avery Shea. I decided that Avery needed some custom cookies sent to her - and maybe her mom and dad might enjoy them as well. :) These were shipped to New York and they made it perfectly and I am told they still tasted excellent. YAY! Check them out - more baby cookies to come!
